    Evaluation of Kirkuk City women's understanding of climacteric age

    Background: Menopause is the end of fertility, the end of the childbearing years; it is also known as the "change of life." If a woman has not had a period for 12 consecutive months and no other biological or physiological reason can be found, she is said to be in menopause. (A woman may still be able to become pregnant unless 12 consecutive months have passed without a period). Objectives: Assess women's awareness of menopause in Kirkuk City. Methodology: 30 women between the ages of 40 and 55 participated in a descriptive study (non-probable purposive sample) at Azadi Teaching Hospital and Kirkuk General Hospital between November 1, 2019, and May 1, 2020.
