    Effectiveness of resistance training on bone mineral density in post-menopausal women with osteoporosis

    Poor bone mineral density is associated with aging. However, menopause in females promote decline in overall bone mineral density and hence lead to the higher risk of bone fracture. Strength training is considered as effective non pharmacological intervention in this regard. To assess the effect of resistance training on bone mineral density in post-menopausal women with osteoporosis. Total 30 female participants were recruited in this study. 15 females were included in strength training group (Group 2) and remaining 15 in control groups (Group 1). 15 women in resistance training group completed total nine months’ sessions of strength training as it was scheduled for at least 3 times a week.
