Induction of labor in light of current literature reports

In developing countries, every fourth full term delivery is induced, and this number continues to increase. Labor induction is one of the most common obstetric procedures performed in every hospital. The purpose of this study is Review of credible evidence to summarize current guidelines on induction of labor for obstetricians. The 2009 Recommendations of the Polish Gynecological Society (PTG) were analyzed of the Society of Obstetricans and Gynecologist of Canada (SOGC) 2013, World Health Organization (WHO) Recommendations 2011, Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist (RCOG) from 2013, guidelines of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist (ACOG) of 2009 and other relevant publications, such as systematic reviews, randomized controlled trials, and observational trials. The presented overview of the current recommendations is based on the regulations in force in Poland medical and pharmaceutical law.
