Risk of complications after a cesarean delivery is higher then after vaginal births. Postoperative disorders increase maternal morbidity and mortality In the paper presented are: early and late complications of cesarean section, prevalence of complications, risk factors of infections. Statement of FIGO about cesarean section on request is given.
