Introduction. Postpartum hemorrhage is one of the most serious obstetrical complications. The aim. To estimate blood loos using objective parameters and to searched dependance beetwen blood loos and technique of terminate the labour. Material and methods. We analized the pre- and postnatal level of haemoglobin in patients hospitalized in our clinic in 2006-2008. We used ? Hb x 450ml equation to calculate blood loss. We analized 83 clinical cases. Results. Cesarean section was 29%, the avarage blood loss was 1798ml (900-3600)±807ml. Spontaneus labor was 71%, meana value of blood loss was 2027ml (630-3690)±690ml. Conclusions. There is no dependance between blood loss and methods of ending the labour. The quantity of blood loss was comparable in spontaneus labor and cesarean section. Featured mathematical pattern is effort of more accurate than visual way of evaluation of blood loss in perinatal period.
